The township Treasurer has specific duties mandated under Michigan statute.

Some of the duties of the Treasurer are:

• Collects real and personal property taxes;
  * Receives receipts for township expenditures;
  * Deposits township revenues in approved depositories;
  * Invests township funds in approved investment vehicles;
  * Collects delinquent personal property tax;
  * Is responsible for jeopardy assessments in collecting property tax;
