Waste Collection Notice

As of August 2007, York Charter Township has an exclusive 5-year Contract with Stevens Disposal & Recycling Service for residential Trash pick-up, recycling, yard waste pick-up and other services. This contract is effective from November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2012.

 

Basic trash pick-up costs residents $8.00/month. Curbside recycling at $4.00/month and yard waste pick-up at $6.00/month are available as well as other services. PLEASE NOTE: All prices are limited to a 4% increase each year per the contract. See following examples:

Trash per month:	$8.00	$8.32	$8.65	$9.00
Recycling/month:	$4.00	$4.16	$4.33	$4.50
Yard Waste/month:	$6.00	$6.24	$6.49	$6.75

…and so on through October 31, 2012.

Call Stevens for Christmas tree pick-up, a $10.00 additional fee.

 

Holiday Schedule - No Trash Removal On:

Memorial Day Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day

New Year’s Day

 

If your scheduled day is ON a Holiday, pick-up will be the following business day. If trash is not out, it will not be picked up until your next scheduled pick-up day.

(NOTE: Yard waste is billed all year, but only serviced April-November)
